Somehow, I get Michelle’s indignation. ”If you have ‘Official Representation’ at General Convention you know you are a marginalized group.” Future? How about here and now?
I wonder if any bishop, except perhaps Sean Rowe, is aware of the ethos pulsing through the hearts and minds of the next generation of church leaders?
I look at my own diocese and the things we are doing. There is not a concerted effort by the diocesan leadership to put young people in leadership positions. No leader from the diocese itself. The young adults are going it. Through personal invitation, we’re making connections.
“Marginalized group.” Really.
